Welcome to HairScope (the "App"), developed and published by ForgeTech (Haikou) Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

HairScope is a standalone, offline-only tool designed to help you track your hair health over time. All data stays on your device. We do not operate any servers, do not collect any personal information, and do not transmit any data off your device. This Privacy Policy explains our practices in detail.

We do NOT collect any information.

HairScope does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data with us or any third party. Specifically:

• ❌ No server communication — The App does not connect to any external servers.
• ❌ No photo uploads — All photos remain exclusively on your device.
• ❌ No analytics or tracking — We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or tracking tools.
• ❌ No advertising — The App contains no ads and no ad-related tracking.
• ❌ No user accounts — There is no sign-up, login, or account system.
• ❌ No personal identifiers — We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, or any other personal information.

The following data is created and stored locally on your device only, using on-device storage (IndexedDB). This data never leaves your device:

You have full control over this data at all times. You can delete all data from within the App's settings, or by uninstalling the App.

HairScope requests camera permission to capture photos of your hairline and crown area for analysis.

• The camera is used only when you actively initiate a scan.
• Photos are processed entirely on your device using on-device computer vision models.
• No photos are uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server or third party.
• You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device's Settings.

HairScope performs hair analysis using on-device computer vision and machine learning models:

• Face Mesh (MediaPipe) — Used locally to detect facial landmarks for accurate hairline positioning.
• Image segmentation — Used locally to analyze crown coverage and density.
• Smart Summary Engine — Generates personalized insights using deterministic on-device logic. No AI cloud API is involved.

All processing happens on your device. No data is sent to any external service.

Non-Biometric Use

The App does not use facial or image data for:

• Identity verification or facial recognition
• Biometric authentication
• User profiling or behavioral tracking

Apple App Store (In-App Purchase)

HairScope offers a one-time purchase (non-consumable) to unlock premium features. This transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

No Other Third-Party Services

HairScope does not integrate any other third-party services, including but not limited to:

• No analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel)
• No crash reporting services (e.g., Crashlytics, Sentry)
• No advertising networks
• No social media SDKs
• No cloud AI or machine learning APIs

We do not share any data with anyone. Since HairScope does not collect or transmit any data, there is nothing to share. No data is sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for any purpose.

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You control your data. You can delete all analysis records, photos, and personal settings at any time from the App's Settings page.
• Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data (IndexedDB and related app storage).
• We retain nothing. Because we do not operate servers or collect data, there is no server-side data to retain or delete.

HairScope is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App does not collect any personal information from any user, this concern is inherently addressed by our offline-only design.

Because HairScope does not collect or process any personal data:

• Access: All your data is visible within the App at all times.
• Deletion: You can delete all data from the App's Settings or by uninstalling.
• Portability: Your data exists only on your device and is under your full control.
• Consent withdrawal: You can stop using the App at any time. No data is retained externally.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we confirm that no personal data is processed, and therefore GDPR obligations related to data processing do not apply. Nonetheless, we respect your privacy rights fully.

While we do not transmit or store any data externally, the App protects your on-device data through:

• iOS App Sandbox isolation
• IndexedDB storage within the App's protected container
• iOS Keychain for any sensitive identifiers
• No network permissions required for core functionality

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
